Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the AI Alt Text Generator service (operated by lessbutmore.ai) collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. We aim to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, and the site URL you connect.
• Payment data: handled by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details.
• Images for generation: when you use managed credits, the image you select is sent to our AI provider to produce alt text. We do not retain the image content after the request completes.
• Usage data: credit counts and basic request metadata for billing and abuse prevention.

How we use it

To provide and meter the service, process payments, send transactional email (verification, receipts, support), prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data.

AI training & image handling

Images you submit for managed generation are sent to OpenAI’s API solely to generate your alt text. Per OpenAI’s API policy, API inputs are not used to train their models, and are retained only briefly for abuse monitoring before deletion. We do not store your image content on our servers after processing.

Subprocessors

We share data with these providers only as needed to run the service:

• OpenAI — AI generation (receives the image + prompt for managed credits).
• Stripe — payments and subscription billing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Neon — database (accounts, credit balances, license records).
• Vercel — application hosting.

If you bring your own API key in the free plugin, your images go directly to your chosen provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) under your own account, not through us.

Data retention

We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal/accounting purposes. Image content is not retained after a generation request.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including the EU/EEA and UK under the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@lessbutmore.ai. A Data Processing Addendum is available on request.

Cookies

The site uses only essential cookies needed for sign-in/session. We do not use advertising trackers.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries; we rely on their standard safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) where applicable.
